Deployment of shared storage in High Availability mode consists of the following stages:
- Stage 1. Creating and Configuring iSCSI Virtual Disks
- Stage 2. Deploying a Failover Cluster Using the Microsoft Failover Clustering Feature
- Stage 3. Adding Storage to the Failover Cluster and Configuring the File Server Role
- Stage 4. Configuring Storage Replication
In case of a failure of the storage that is currently being used, the Failover Cluster Manager feature automatically switches the connection to a second storage endpoint which all of the data from the failed storage has been replicated to.
