Quick Access to Log Files


Log files contain information that may prove useful for administrators to detect problems with the system, if they occur.


To download the Management Tool log and the Application Server log files, click the Health Monitoring navigation link on the left, and then click the  icon next to the System State tab on the right, and select Download Log Files (MT and Server) in the drop-down list. In the Save As window, browse to the location where you want the log file to be saved, and click Save. The log file will then be downloaded to your computer.

NOTE: Every time the Application Server restarts, a new Application Server log file is created. The current Application Server log file can be downloaded by way of the Management Tool, and can also be found along with older log files in the folderC:\Program Files\Ekran System\Ekran System: C:\Program Files\Ekran System\Ekran System\ServerLogs

 

To define the severity level of the log entries to be saved to the Client log file for a Client (or for all the Clients in a Client group), click the Client Management navigation link on the left, then find the required Client, and click its name in the Client Name column (or select the Client Groups tab and find the required Client group, and then click on its name in the Client Group Name column).

NOTE: To find specific Clients, the search box and filters at the top of the Client Management page can be used (or to find specific Client groups, the search box at the top of the Client Groups page can be used).

Then, on the Editing Client (or Editing Client Group) page, on the Properties tab, scroll down to the Diagnostics section at the bottom of the page, then select the log level required in the Client Log Level drop-down list, and click the Finish button in the bottom right. By default value of the Client log level is Info.


To download the Client log file for a Client (or the Client log files for multiple Clients), click the Client Management navigation link on the left, and then select the checkboxes on the left next to the Clients that you want to download the log files for.

NOTE: To find specific Clients, the search box and filters at the top of the Client Management page can be used.

Then click the Bulk Action () button in the top left, and select Download Logs in the drop-down list. The Client log files will then be downloaded.

NOTE: Log files can only be downloaded from Clients that are currently online.

 

To download all the Client log files for a Client group (or for multiple Client groups), click the Client Management navigation link on the left, and then use the Client Group filter at the top to view only those Clients in the Client groups selected.

Then select all the checkboxes on the left by selecting the upper-most checkbox next to the Client Name column header on the left, and click the Bulk Action () button in the top left, and then select Download Logs in the drop-down list. The Client log files will then be downloaded.

NOTE: Log files can only be downloaded for Clients which are currently online.
