Approving USB Access by an Administrator

The option to block access to a USB device until approval by an administrator allows you to better protect the data on Client computers.

NOTE: The option to block access to a USB device until approval by an administrator is only available if you have an activated serial key for the Enterprise Edition of Ekran System.

To ensure that users are able to access USB devices and mobile phones on Client computers only after receiving additional approval, do the following:

1. Add a Kernel-Level USB Monitoring rule and on the Additional Actions tab, in the Actions section, select the Block access to USB device until administrator approval checkbox, and then select the users to which access requests will be sent in the Users Who Can Approve Access drop-down list below it.

2. In the email sent to the specified users, approvers can grant or forbid the user access to the USB or mobile device plugged into the Client computer.
