Kernel-Level USB Monitoring Rules
In order to monitor and block devices which are plugged into computers, the user needs to create rules in the Management Tool.
These rules can be created and assigned to Clients by a user with the administrative Client Installation and Management permission.
NOTE: If the Client is reinstalled while a device is connected to the Client computer, where there is a rule blocking access to this device, device blocking will no longer work. For the rule to work, the Client computer first needs to be restarted.
The USB monitoring rules created are displayed in the list on the Kernel-Level USB Monitoring page of the Management Tool, in the grid containing the following columns:
• Name
• Description
• Risk Level
• State
• Action
• Assigned to (Client groups)
