Client Sessions

Monitored data received from Windows, macOS and Linux Clients is organized into Client sessions.

A Windows Client session includes recorded user activity (screen captures, application names, activity titles, keystrokes, clipboard text data, and URLs).

A macOS Client session includes recorded user activity (screen captures, application names, activity titles, etc.).

Windows and macOS Clients start recording user activity in a new session every time a user logs in (or a Client computer is restarted). Furthermore, the maximum duration of one session is 24 hours, as at 00:00 (midnight) all live sessions are terminated. After termination (their status changes from Live to Finished), and new live sessions then start automatically.

A remote Linux Client session includes a list of commands executed along with their parameters and functions. Linux Clients start recording a new monitoring session each time a remote SSH terminal is opened. Furthermore, the maximum duration of one SSH session is 24 hours, as at 00:00 (midnight) all live sessions are terminated. After termination (their status changes from Live to Finished), and new live sessions then start automatically.

NOTE: Remote X-forwarded sessions can also be monitored, but in a slightly different manner, where X Window System applications are monitored as child sessions of a remote SSH parent session.

A local Linux Client session for X Window System includes recorded user activity (screen captures, application names, activity titles, and activity times). The maximum duration of one local session is 24 hours, as at 00:00 (midnight) all live sessions are terminated. After termination (their status changes from Live to Finished), and new live sessions then start automatically.
