Configuring the Firewall on Windows Vista, and Windows Server 2003

It is not necessary to disable the firewall on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003. To remotely install Clients, you need to enable File and Printer Sharing.

To configure the Firewall on Windows Vista or Windows Server 2003, do the following:

1. Select Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall.

    

2. In the Windows Firewall window, select the Exceptions tab.

    

3. On the Exceptions tab, select the File and Printer Sharing checkbox.

4. Click OK.
