Load balancing is used to distribute the load, resulting from the processing (of large numbers of) Ekran System Clients simultaneously, in an optimized way over multiple different Ekran System Application Servers in a cluster.

Organizations with medium-sized or large deployments of Ekran System, which include multiple Applications Servers, and a large overall amount of Client machines, can use load balancing in High Availability mode to continually optimize the performance of their Ekran System deployments.

This guide describes how to install multiple instances of the Ekran System Application Server and the Ekran System Management Tool in order to facilitate load balancing in High Availability mode.

NOTE: It is assumed that you already have an existing deployment of Ekran System installed; if not, please refer to the Ekran System Quick Start Deployment Guide to initially install a first instance of the Ekran System Application Server and the Ekran System Management Tool.
