Client Performance Numbers
.
Parameter | Value |
Average CPU consumption (for 1 hour of operation) | 0.5% per Client session |
Peak CPU consumption | Up to 5% per Client session |
Bandwidth requirements | 128 Kbit/s |
Average Data Volume | 1 average Client workstation generates approximately 300 MB per 8-hour work day for most types of Clients (excluding remote SSH Linux Client sessions in particular, which often generate more data). |
Peak Data Volume | 1 Client workstation can generate up to 15–25 MB per intensive work hour. |
Data Volume for Windows Clients:
• 1 Client session per day (average) | 300 MB |
• 1 Client session per day (maximum) | 5,172 MB (at the highest screen capture resolution). |
• 100 Client sessions per day (average) | 30 GB |
Data Volume for Linux Clients (X Window System sessions only, excluding remote SSH sessions which often generate more data):
• 1 Client session per 15 minutes (average) | 8 MB |
• 1 Client session per day (average) | 100 MB |
NOTE: Performance has been measured for one session using full HD display resolution and default screen capture and color settings.
NOTE: The amount of data sent to the Application Server can be reduced in a variety of ways, such as by changing the default settings of the Windows Clients or macOS Clients (e.g. the user activity recording, monitoring, and filtering parameters) to only record user activity on the Client computers under certain conditions, and for Linux Clients also by defining separate function calls or command output to be skipped or limited while monitoring.
