Monitoring Local Sessions (for X Window System)

Ekran System allows you to monitor user sessions started locally via the GUI. A session includes recorded user activity (screen captures, application names, activity titles, activity times, etc).

Linux Clients start monitoring after a user opens a new application window. User activity is recorded every 10 seconds.

A new session is started every time the computer is restarted. The maximum duration of one local session is 24 hours. At 00:00 (midnight) all live sessions are terminated. After termination (their status changes from Live to Finished), and new live sessions start automatically.

In case any Client ever stops working for any reason, it is restarted automatically by a watchdog mechanism process (EkranAgent).
