Synchronization of the Session Player and Metadata

The Session Player can operate in either of two modes:

• In Synced Mode, viewing of the data in the Metadata grid and the Session Player is synchronized while a session is being played (i.e. the metadata associated with the screen capture currently being viewed is highlighted in the Metadata grid). This mode is not available in Filtered Mode i.e. if any searching/filtering/sorting has been performed in the Metadata grid.

• In Filtered Mode, viewing of the data in the Metadata grid and the Session Player is not synchronized while a session is playing, as the Session Player displays all the screen captures in the session, even though the data in the Metadata grid has been searched/filtered/sorted.

After opening a Client session (e.g. from the Monitoring Results page), the Session Player will play the session from the start (or from the record that is selected on in the Metadata grid) in Synced Mode. As soon as any searching/filtering/sorting is performed in the Metadata grid, Synced Mode is automatically switched to Filtered Mode, where the Back to Synced Mode button (in the top right) can be used to return to Synced Mode (i.e. to cancel the searching/filtering/sorting).
