Uninstalling Windows Clients Locally
It is possible to uninstall a Windows Client locally using the Uninstallation key that was defined during installation of the Application Server. You can find the Uninstallation key in the Management Tool.
To uninstall the Windows Client locally, do the following:
1. Run the command prompt (cmd.exe) as administrator.
2. In the command prompt, go to the Client installation folder. By default, it is: C:\Program Files\Ekran System\Ekran System\
3. Enter the following command: UninstallClient.exe /key=<uninstallation_key> /silent=true (where "<uninstallation key>" needs to be replaced by the actual Uninstallation key).
NOTE: In Saas deployments, the Syteca Client uninstallation command needs double quotes adding around the Uninstallation key, i.e: UninstallClient.exe /key="<uninstallation key>" /silent=true
4. Press Enter.
5. The Client is now uninstalled.
NOTE: If you do not add the “/silent=true” parameter to the uninstallation command, a confirmation message for uninstalling the Client will be displayed on the Client computer.
