Viewing the Device Hardware ID

To view the Device Hardware ID of a USB device on a Windows computer, do the following:

1. Plug the USB device into your Windows computer.

2. Right-click This PC, and select Manage in the context menu.

3. The Computer Management window opens.

4. Expand the Device Manager node.

5. Expand the node with the name of the computer in the central pane.

6. Select the Universal Serial Bus Controllers node in the list, and expand it.

7. Find the device, the information for which you want to view, then right-click it, and select Properties in the context menu.

8. In the window that opens, select the Details tab, and then select Hardware Ids in the Property drop-down list to view the required information in the Value field.

9. Click OK or Cancel to close the window.
