4. The Deployment Process

Deployment of shared storage in High Availability mode consists of the following stages:

Stage 1. Creating and Configuring iSCSI Virtual Disks

Stage 2. Deploying a Failover Cluster Using the Microsoft Failover Clustering Feature

Stage 3. Adding Storage to the Failover Cluster and Configuring the File Server Role

Stage 4. Configuring Storage Replication

In case of a failure of the storage that is currently being used, the Failover Cluster Manager feature automatically switches the connection to a second storage endpoint which all of the data from the failed storage has been replicated to.
