The Time Period and Frequency of Report Creation

The time period for the data that is added to the report depends on the report generation frequency.

If the report is generated on a daily basis, it will include the data that was monitored starting from the specified time of the previous day up until the specified time of the current day.

For example:

If the Daily option is selected and the report is to be generated on June 13 at 17:00, the time period for the data in this report will start on June 12 at 17:00 and end on June 13 at 17:00.

If the report is generated on a weekly basis, it will include the data that was monitored starting from the specified time and day of the previous week up until the specified time and day of the current week.

For example:

If the Weekly option is selected and the report is to be generated on Monday at 18:00, the time period for the data in this report will start on Monday of the previous week at 18:00 and end on Monday of the current week at 18:00.

If the report is generated on a monthly basis, it will include the data that was monitored starting from the specified time and day of the previous month up until the specified time and day of the current month.

For example:

If the Monthly option is selected and the report is to be generated on January 20 at 19:00, the time period for the data in this report will start on December 20 at 19:00 and end on January 20 at 19:00.

If the monthly report is to be generated on the Last day of the month, the time interval of the data for this report will start on the last day of the previous month and end on the last day of the current month independently of how many days there are in either month.

For example:

If the report is generated on March 31, the time period for the data in this report will start on February 28, or February 29, and end on March 31.

If the report is generated from a Scheduled Report rule, the time period for the data in the report will depend on the current date and time.

For example:

• If the Daily option is selected in the rule Report Parameters section and the Start Report Generation At option is set to 15:00, and you want to generate the report at 14:00, the time period for the data in the report will start from 14:00 of the previous day and end at 14:00 of the current day.

• If the Weekly option is selected in the rule Report Parameters section and the Day of Week option is set to Wednesday, and you want to generate the report on Friday at 12:00, the time period for the data in the report will start from Friday of the previous week at 12:00 and end on the current day at 12:00.

• If the Monthly option is selected in the rule Report Parameters section and the Day of Month option is set to the 15th day of month, and you want to generate the report on May 10 at 10:00, the time period for the data in the report will start from April 10 at 10:00 and end on the current day at 10:00.

NOTE: If many activities are selected in the time period defined, reports may be too large, as the report files generated cannot exceed the maximum allowed size of SMTP server attachments.
