Managing Secrets
The credentials of shared privileged accounts are stored in account secrets.
NOTE: As a root user, the built-in default admin user of Syteca has the "Owner" Role Type permissions for all secrets, and is therefore able to both edit and access all secrets added by other Syteca users.
The following types of accounts can be accessed by using a secret:
- Active Directory accounts
- Windows accounts
- Unix accounts (SSH)
- Unix accounts (Telnet)
- Web accounts
- MS SQL accounts
To protect sensitive data, secrets are encrypted using AES-256.
